We had the privilege about two years ago of visiting the beautiful country of Mozambique with a close family friend of ours. We got to experience the local’s way of life, predominantly in the province of Gaza, around Vladimir and Xai Xai. We spent just over 3 months there, crossing the border a few times to renew visas, and collect insulin from South Africa. I love Mozambique and the friendly people, humbly living in this beautiful place.
I’ll be sharing more about this trip over the next while, as I edit the videos of this amazing experience. Part of our trip was culture training for missions as a family, and not the typical tourist experience of vibrant Mozambique.
We stayed out near the coastal area of Praya de Xai Xai Mozambique, and got to enjoy a few beach days in between the travel, weddings, birthdays, church and farm visits. This video is a scenic overview of one of the beaches near us, known as the Sinkhole. This sinkhole is a dangerous natural feature, as the water channels under the rocks on either side. It sucks and pumps water aggressively, even when the sea is calm, but as long as you keep away from it, it is a stunning place to swim and snorkel. We were here from late February, so it is hot and humid, but the warm Indian ocean water brings well needed relief.
