Refund and Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied due to a material defect, you can return the product to us and we will either repair / replace it, or credit your account, subject to the below terms. This Policy applies to products bought from OutdoorEco Adventures (PTY) Ltd itself and not from Third Party Sellers.

This Policy forms part of the OutdoorEco Adventures Terms of Use Agreement, and so words defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.

Preparing your products for a return

To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible you are responsible for the following when returning your products:

  • contact us first to discuss, approve and arrange the details of the return. We may require you to provide photos and details of the claimed issue;
  • once we have approved the return, proceed to securely pack the item;
  • package your products safely and securely for protection during transit;
  • clearly mark your return with your name and the order or invoice reference number on the outside of the parcel; and
  • ensure that no prohibited substances or contents are returned such as gas products, food etc.

Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether.

Products damaged on delivery or defective products

Should a product be damaged or missing any parts or accessories at the time of delivery / collection, please notify us within 7 days of such delivery / collection by logging the return on the Website Contact Us Form at https://outdooreco.com/contact/

We will require you to be available for our couriers to pick up the product on the specified day and times provided by them.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, we will either replace the product as soon as possible or credit your account with the purchase price of the product, subject to the conditions and terms below.

What is a defect? A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances.

The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section:

  • faults resulting from normal usage, wear and tear;
  • damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
  • sea air corrosion;
  • damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
  • damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product;
  • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you;

Charges

If you return a defective product to us, but you fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, we are entitled to (subject to applicable law) to refuse the return, only to replace the item that you did return, or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and parts and only to credit or refund you in respect of the returned item.

If you return a product that does not comply with this Policy, you may be liable to reimburse OutdoorEco Adventures for the cost of collecting the product from you and the cost of having the product returned to you.

Under no circumstances will donations or competition prizes be refunded.

Additional conditions

Our refund and returns policy lasts 7 days and subject to the following conditions:

  • If 7 days have passed since your delivery, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
  • We will not refund more than the price paid for the product.
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
  • Several types of goods are exempt from being returned or refunded including these items:
    • Gift cards, coupons, vouchers, prizes and coupons
    • Downloadable software products and digital goods
    • Some health and personal care items
    • Perishable products.
    • Flammable liquids or gases.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. Refunds if approved will be for the amount paid as the cash portion of the order and we will not refund any applied discounts or coupons.

If you are ordering a more expensive item, you may consider purchasing shipping insurance.
